Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was born in Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was a natural athlete and developed a passion to sprint in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial attempt she made, she was ranked 2nd in the 200m race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003, signed the sports contract with Adidas. She then went to the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place in Athens Greece. She broke the Junior World Record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion for running 200m. The following year, she defended her title by beating Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top third in each event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
