Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born 18 November 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix was aware that she had an aptitude to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Following her initial audition and placing within the top two places in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix graduated from high school and subsequently signed a pro-contract to Adidas. In 2004, she began her studies at the University of Southern California, which is where she studied elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to win the 200 meter race. She defended the title by beating her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at her first Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo consistently placing within the top three places in all her races.
